St. Mary's Students Sing Through the Decades
Storm Lake St. Mary's K-8 student musicians took the stage for their annual spring concert, "Listen to the Music", on Tuesday, March 28th, under the direction of music and band instructor Gayle Strom.
The audience sang along with the diverse repertoire that included classic songs from Bobby Day, The Monkees, Kool & The Gang, The Doobie Brothers, Michael Jackson, Los Del Rio and Queen, to name a few of the multi-cultural pieces performed throughout the night.
“I am grateful I can teach our students music from different decades and genres,” says Strom. “Music is a powerful healing and unifying force that provides us with a language that unlocks our emotions and acts as a bridge between people, places and time.”
Thank you, Mrs. Strom, for your hard work in putting together a fun night for the students, families, and the community.
