Communication is key to keeping parents informed, involved and excited about their student's school life.
Panther Packs
Panther Pack folders are sent home on Fridays with students in grades PreK-6. Parents are encouraged to go through the contents with their child, seeing their schoolwork, important notes, or fliers. The student needs to return the folder to their classroom on Monday. Payments and signed forms can be returned in the folder as well.
Text Message Notifications
Important information about events, school closings, safety alerts and more is delivered via text message to your mobile phone. Utilize the SchoolMessenger to receive these important updates.
How do I sign up?
1. Make certain the school has your cell phone number in our JMC Parent Contact System. Student cell numbers may also be added on the parent's page so they can receive messages as well.
2. Simply text our school code number 67587 with a message of "Y" or "Yes" to participate.
To OPT out:
1. If you wish to opt out of receiving messages once signed up, text STOP to 67587.

Parent Grade/Lunch Access
Parents can view their student's progress and grades, track lunch account balances, update parent contact information and more through our JMC Student Record Management system.
Note for log in information: Username is your last name, and your password needs to be first set up with the office staff. The link can be found under Parents menu on the JMC Access page.
Iowa School Alerts
During winter, parents can receive announcements from Iowa School Alerts, the online school event notification system for the State of Iowa. You may sign up

School Spotlight
Tune in to 101.7 FM KAYL Radio to listen for an update about of what's happening at St. Mary's School. The broadcast airs every other Tuesday morning at 7:30 a.m. throughout the school year. Check the school calendar to see when the next broadcast is.
